An evening standing tall above Salisbury

Team | 2nd January 2025

To help bring 2025 to a close and celebrate the festive season, we headed to Salisbury Cathedral for a very special and memorable twilight tower tour offering a completely different perspective on our iconic landmark standing tall above the city.

Working closely with the Cathedral on a number of projects across both digital and print, and many of us having grown up in the area, we already had a deep appreciation for the work and history behind the scenes so it was a great opportunity to step inside and see the architecture up close.

Climbing the Cathedral’s 332 steps to the base of the tower was no small feat, but the views that greeted us at the top were more than worth it. As we stepped out into the evening we were treated to a beautiful winter sunset and stunning views across the city and surrounding countryside. Below us, the city coming to life with Christmas lights and people leaving work gave a wonderful festive atmosphere.

Along the way, our fantastic tour guide offered fantastic insight at every stop we came to. With tales of the architecture and heritage as well as stories from the centuries of history that surround the Cathedral. We were also lucky to sit alongside the bells as they chimed which was certainly a memorable experience.

Following our tour, the evening continued with a fantastic meal at Tinga before heading over to the Market Square to enjoy some drinks, live music and the atmosphere of the Snow Globe Bar.

It was a brilliant way to spend an evening together and celebrate in the city we always enjoy working in.
